Took us forever to get service. Once we were sat down he didn't ask us if we wanted a drink. Strike one. Then he finally came along & asked if we wanted a drink. My boyfriend & I both asked for water with no ice & also placed our order for the chicken rustica pizza & garlic bread. We didn't get our water until we got our pizza & it had ice in it. The pizza came with balsamic on it which I hate but it didn't say that it came with it on the menu. The service was slow, the pizza wasn't that good. Only redeeming thing was their garlic bread.

Met up with a group of friends for a casual bite. Service was attentive. They brought bread out immediately upon being seated and took our drink orders. Refilled everything without even asking. Very friendly staff, the owner even came over and chatted with some of the New Yorkers in our group for quite awhile . Ordered the mussel appetizer which was delicious . I normally prefer them in white sauce but the bf wanted the red and boy was it yummy. The mussels were moist and plump and the sauce had great flavor. The only drawback was that I wished there were more of them. I had a small misto salad which I loved. The combo of the nuts, cranberries, and Gorgonzola with the mesclun and raspberry dressing was perfect. I would definitely love this for lunch with a nice grilled chicken breast on top. The bf and I split the chicken rustica pie which was ok. Ingredients were tasty ,however I think I would prefer it without the romaine on top. For dessert we had the cannoli cheesecake which was delish. I look forward to returning and trying one of the pasta dinners which got rave reviews from my fellow diners.

Tried this place for the first time yesterday. Meat in the lasagna tasted old. That quart of bitter red sauce they poured over it was no save. Sent it back after two bites. This place has a dungeon like quality. Dark....dark lighting, dark brown mica tables, dark brown napkins...dark Didn't see anything I'd want to come back for.

This restaurant is having an identity crisis. The ambience and decor was nice, and the service was great. That with good entrees and dessert and I feel like I'm doing them a disservice by only giving them three stars. Some minor changes and they would be four stars. 1) The rolls were horrible. Very hard on top and not served with oil like a nicer Italian restaurant would have. 2) The salad was very basic with only four choices for dressing. I found it odd that they didn't even have a house Italian dressing. 3) And yet another example of a mixed identity was when the waitress asked us if we wanted parmigiana cheese I expected freshly grated parm, but instead she brought us a shaker like what you would use for pizza. So don't let the decor fool you, this place is a notch below Olive Garden. The highlight of the meal was the free dessert we received for liking them on Facebook. It was a tasty cannoli cheesecake. For entrees I had the NY Style calamari and my wife had fettuccine carbonara. Both were good but not great.

Very mediocre at best. The food tastes no different than an Olive Garden type restaurant and the service is abysmal. Took an hour for a sandwich and salad. It's next door to a nail salon which cause a horrendous odor in the restaurant as well.

I've never been to this restaurant and called during the week to see if I needed a reservation for Saturday night. I was told no. So my husband and I went to the restaurant and there was just one other couple waiting. We gave our name and then a whole crowd of people walked in with reservations. They did not want to seat us until ALL the reservations were seated. I told them I called and was told I didn't need one. They still were going to make us wait...so we walked out. Never to return to a restaurant who treats people like this. No food is worth this kind of treatment.

I got plug these guys one more time! They have some of the best chicken dishes you can imagine! Services always friendly there and they are great. We went here the other night with My older daughter and some of her friends. They enjoyed the pizza while My wife and I shared lemon chicken can't stop thinking about how good it is. We've also order take out here during lunch it's a great place all around. It is hard to find so check it out

Was hoping it would be more of a home run. Unfortunately it was only a double. Reading reviews and yelpers talked about lack of service. The owners must be reading and going the opposite direction. It was almost every 2 seconds that someone came over and asked if we needed something. Different people though, but thought it was a bit too much. They need to find the right balance. Food: Bread on table: Kinda boring bread with olive oil dipping to dip. Ehh. Caesar Salad: I liked this. Chicken Parm: Too much much breading. Nice size portion. Sauce: This was a bit of a let down. This makes or breaks Italian food for me. It was good just missing something. Pizza: Cheese pizza was quite tasty. Overall, it's a nice place and got busy when we were there. Hopefully over time it improves.

Went here yesterday for lunch due to Panera bread being to busy. The place was empty only 1 other customer was in there. We were greeted as we walked in and told to sit wherever we liked. The place was clean and service and food was very good. Would of given 5 stars if waitress would of checked my i.d. like it says on my card to do so.

Service was excellent .. A little overly attentive but way better than never seeing anyone at all. Refilled drinks . Talked about The freshness of the food . The NY pizza was delish. Wish We had known it was more like a personal size pizza . We would have ordered 2 instead of 1 . Sauce , cheese and fresh mushrooms who needs anything else

Came here with friends two weeks ago and this review is my third time here. We passed on the groupon because to tepid reviews. I will say not only am I glad I tried it, I'm glad I came back. The margarita pizza is VERY good add meatballs and its fan-freaking-tastic. Chicken bruschetta pizza and garlic rolls are all great. A few guys from New York making a great pizza here in Coral Springs. Give it a shot, it's worth trying.

This restaurant has gone downhill very quick, went there and two baby roaches were next to us in the wall, and by next I mean 5 inches away. Bad experience there. The place was empty most of the time. Sadly Rosedale has lost their prime times.

Not good. Came here because the restaurant was given a great review on Sun Sentinel. Not sure what that guy ate but my table had soggy pizza, veiny chicken, and overcooked gnocchi. The soggy pizza was sent back and I ordered a margarita pizza instead which was also soggy. The manager brought out a complimentary white pizza which was not bad. The bread they gave the table was cold and served with butter - what sort of Italian restaurant doesn't give garlic bread or olive oil? The limoncello cake had good icing and filling but the cake itself was stale. The cannoli cheesecake was not in fact cannoli cheesecake it was cheesecake with cannoli filling in top. I actually prefer the cheesecake to be like that so it was a nice surprise. The filling was great. The cheesecake was warm and fluffy, but not quite as creamy as I'd expect a cheesecake to be. Oh yeah and one of the chairs at our table was broken! The best part was the fact that they give a carafe of water on the table! The server was very nice as well.

Just a quick update to my previous review, and that's simply to say: ORDER THE TIRAMISU. It's homemade, and it might be the best I've ever had. It will elicit such statements as, "Wow, it's so creamy" or "It leaves a wonderful flavor in your mouth"... you know, the kind of statements that are ripe for "That's what she said" jokes. Seriously, get this dessert.

Based on all the positive Yelp reviews we tried this place on a rainy Friday night. Seated right away as the place was fairly quiet. Server was attentive and our food was brought out timely. I had chicken marsala, dining partner had pasta and meatballs. It was a nice dinner, generous portions. Enough to try it again. Second time completely negated any interest in ever returning. It was a little busier but not "packed" Our server had several tables but greeted us and brought out bread and drinks. That was the best part of dinner. My pasta was one of the"specials" Orecchiette Puglia. My dining partner's dish (chicken with capers) came out several minutes before mine. It was as if they had forgotten to cook mine and rushed it out. Pasta was BARELY cooked. I like a little bite but this was seriously like eating a brick. I had to call waiter over to remake dish. Waiter says they will "saute it a for more minutes". HUH ? Saute ? Second dish brought out and was partially cooked pasta. The "manager" came over to all the tables and made his way to ours. I told him what I thought of the dish and he said "Well, it's a thicker pasta". He saw my barely eaten dish and walked away from the table. No attempt to make things right. If you want better food, go to Olive Garden. Seriously.

If I was writing this review on the food only, it would be 5 stars. I had the chicken bruschetta pizza, chicken marsala, and the baked meatball sandwich; all were fantastic. However, the service I received was very poor. My waitress was non attentive to our needs and to common serving etiquette; my drink sat empty for nearly a half hour, plates were not cleared before dessert, and she was very unprofessional in making negative comments regarding other restaurant guests while servicing us . Fantastic food but service needs more training.

We had a very nice and pleasant first time experience. Both of us had delicious, hot and reasonably priced dishes. We wouldn't have minded paying more if a salad was included. We also would have liked to have had some hot rolls perhaps made from pizza dough instead of cold tasteless Italian bread. It took quite a long time to get our food also. My husband(who is a chef) really enjoyed the Veal Francese. I found the Clams over spaghetti delicious! Perhaps we will return for lunch one day. We are in the restaurant business and appreciate good food. Good luck to you!

We really wanted to like this place, as it's always nice to have a good neighborhood Italian restaurant. It was just ok; not good or bad, just ok. Everything was really bland. When we ordered the calamari, the server asked if we wanted it 'spicy'. We didn't, but we didn't realize that meant 'no spice'. We even had to add salt & pepper to the 'marinara sauce' that accompanied it to add some flavor. Otherwise it tasted just like plain tomato sauce. The grilled wings needed more cooking and were greasy. Even the rolls were nondescript. The service was chaotic, like the place had just opened. We'll probably go back & give it another chance. Every place can have an off nite.

This new pizza/Italian restaurant recently opened in the Doris' shopping center. Wooo, what a great meal. We shared the Italiano pizza, had a Cesar salad and was given this awesome zeppole that the sous chef made. The pizza sauce fresh and delicious, fresh mozzarella, great crust , and the toppings delicious. The Italian sausage had a nice kick to it. Salad good too. The highlight was given the zeppole that the sous chef was trying out and may put it on the menu. The sous chef came straight from Italy and mad the zeppole sort of like a cannoli mixed with zeppole in a fresh chocolate sauce. Kayla was our waitress and was helpful and sweet. The chef came out to say hello. I'm going to make this my weekly stop.

Unfortunately the service at this place is not getting better but getting worse. We were there again on a Thursday evening at about 6. They had one waiter on duty and no bus person to help. The waiter had 8 tables he was trying to tend to. There was not even a manager on duty to help bring food out or bus tables. There were 3 workers total in the place pizza maker, entree maker and the waiter. The waiter came up and asked if we were ready to order before we even had our drinks or looked at the menu. We ordered our drinks and a Mysta salad (very good as usual) We asked for rolls and the waiter said " you want plain or garlic" I thought well we have been here many times and have never been offered garlic so we went for it. The thing is the waiter never said there was an extra charge for the garlic rolls. Besides that the rolls were stale and dry. We asked the waiter if he had fresh ones and he said those were the fresh ones. So he brings the salad that my husband and I were sharing and sets it on the table and walks away. We had to ask for plates. I know he was busy but when he never brought them we had to go the bar and get plates. Food here is still great but they are going to kill themselves for lack of service. I asked the waiter why he was the only server and he said they were cutting back. Well if they are going to cut back then they should have a manager there to help out. This place will not last long. Too bad the food is the best around.

Some damn good soup! So it's the first chilly day of 2014 and I wanted to get a couple of slices of pizza. Not sure why but I do. I drive by couple of pizza joints, Vito's and Guidios nah not a big fan. I almost start heading to Pasquale's when I remember that this joint just opened up where Tee Jays Thai Sushi used to be. So I beeline it here. Hard to believe that this was a Thai place and a great one at that for so many years. The interior looks really good. Nice long bar, plenty of seating, and you could tell everything was new inside. I sat at the bar and there was maybe 3 tables of people inside on a Tuesday at 1230p. I ask what the the soup of the day is and the server says, Tomato Basil. Nothing like soup on a chilly day so WTF I order a cup. This $hit was good. It was a purée of tomatoes you could just tell no can stuff. The consistency was alittle thick which is prefect with a soup like this, no watery BS. I liked it so much I was curious to try the other soup, Pasta Fagioli. This was pretty damn tasty too. Not sure if it was the chilly weather or what but these soups hit the mark with flavor and taste. Oh yeah I came here for pizza right? Lol. I ordered a mushroom and pepperoni pizza to go. It looks like all the pizzas are the same size. You can have it margarita style or NY. I got NY. The cook placed it in the wood oven and it was done in minutes. It looked great, but not very big. I guess I'm spoiled with the large size at Pasquale's and Annie's. I paid my bill and swooped. Got home and the pizza was delicious. It was cooked properly and tasted great. I love how the wood cooks the pizza. It's just different than the Bakers Ovens and Coal fire crap. So, will I be back...... yes with my family in tow:) Remember to tell them Dan sent you and stay hungry!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
